This policy explains what Problem Solver processes when you use the Chrome extension, website, accounts, payments, and support services.

Overview

Problem Solver helps students and educators solve math problems by sending selected problem content to our backend and AI providers. We collect only the information needed to operate the product, secure the service, manage quotas, process payments, and provide support.

Processed Solve Data

When you request a solve, the extension may process a screenshot crop, typed problem text, extracted math content, solver prompts, AI responses, timestamps, and diagnostic metadata needed to return and troubleshoot the answer.

No Persistent Screenshot Or Full-Solve Storage

Problem Solver does not persistently store screenshots or full solve payloads after a solve request is completed. Temporary processing may occur in memory or transient infrastructure logs as needed to deliver the requested answer and protect the service.

No URL Or Page Title Collection

The Chrome extension is designed for problem content, not browsing history. We do not collect the web page URL or page title associated with a solve request.

Local History

Solve history may be saved locally in your browser so you can revisit recent work. Local history remains on your device unless you choose to clear it or your browser removes it.

Account, Payment, Quota, And Monitoring Metadata

If you create an account or subscribe to a plan, we process account identifiers, email address, authentication metadata, plan status, payment provider records, quota usage, request counts, error reports, performance logs, and abuse-prevention signals. Payment card details are handled by Paddle or another payment provider and are not stored by Problem Solver.

Payment Processing

Paddle may act as the Merchant of Record for paid Problem Solver purchases. Paddle processes payment details, billing details, tax details, receipts, subscription management, refund requests, and payment support. Problem Solver receives payment metadata needed to confirm plan status, manage quota, provide support, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes.

Service Providers

We use service providers for authentication, payments, AI model processing, hosting, monitoring, analytics, security, and support workflows. These providers process information only as needed to operate Problem Solver, fulfill user requests, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention And User Choices

We retain account, billing, quota, support, security, and monitoring records only as long as needed for operations, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and service protection. You may clear local history in your browser and contact us to request account or support-data access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
